The MS-21 advanced regional jet's rollout has been set for the end of 2015, Russia's Deputy Industry and Trade Minister Yury Slyusar said.

"We are rigorously observing the schedule and plan to build the plane's flight sample by the end of 2015. This is the goal of our state contract. The plane's rollout is scheduled for the end of 2015," Slyusar told reporters at the Farnborough air show.

He said Pratt & Whitney will hopefully honor its obligation to deliver trial engines for MS-21s and the testing will begin according to schedule.

"We have a large program to fulfill jointly with Pratt & Whitney. Not long ago the Department of State filed an export license for the most sensitive part of the FADEC engine [digital control system] We therefore hope that trial engines will be delivered on time and will be installed," Slyusar said.

The MS-21 new-generation passenger jet is an advanced project of the Russian aircraft industry in the civil aviation segment. Irkut Corporation (Part of United Aircraft Corporation) was selected to fulfill state orders to develop and run the certification of MS-21 planes.
