Russia is not going to take away the black boxes from the crash site of the Malaysian Boeing 777 in Ukraine, said Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
"We are not going to take away these boxes, we are not going to violate the rules existing with regard to this sort of cases within the international community," the minister said in an interview with the Rossiya 24 television channel.
"This is a matter for the ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization), this is a matter for the countries that are directly involved in this tragedy: the Netherlands, Malaysia, the countries whose nationals were on board, and the matter for Ukraine, of course," he added.
