Moscow hospitals treating 117 people injured in metro accident

After the Tuesday Moscow metro accident 117 people remain in Moscow hospitals, city health department chief Georgy Golukhov told Interfax on Sunday.

After the Tuesday Moscow metro accident 117 people remain in Moscow hospitals, city health department chief Georgy Golukhov told Interfax on Sunday.

"According to updated information, 117 patients remain in Moscow hospitals. Compared to Saturday the condition of four patients improved from critical to serious," he said.

He said five more remain in critical condition and 10 in serious.

By now 21 patients have been discharged.

The metro accident carried away 22 lives and injured over 160 people.
