Rescuers have discovered 251 bodies and 66 body parts on the Malaysia Airlines Boeing 777-200 crash scene in the Shakhtersk district of the Donetsk region, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported.

"As of 7 a.m. on July 21, 251 bodies and 66 body parts had been discovered and put on refrigerated train at the Torez railroad station," it said.

"The presence of armed separatists who are hampering the work of State Emergency Service teams complicates the search effort," the service noted.

A governmental commission is investigating the air crash.
