Russian Post signs deal with eBay to optimize deliveries

Russian Post has signed a direct agreement with eBay Inc., to optimize goods deliveries, an Interfax correspondent, present at the signing ceremony, said.

EBay Vice President Wendy Jones said there would be a focus on three project.

The first project will see Russian Post offer eBay clients in Russia express deliveries of goods from China to Russia - ePacket. Russian Post Deputy General Director Sergei Malyshev said that when testing the speed of goods deliveries to China from Russia (from the day the parcel was sent to the day it was delivered) it proved to be 9 days. He added that the service would have a special tariff.
