The Russian sanitary watchdog Rospotrebnadzor has grievances about product quality and safety of the McDonald's fast-food restaurant, Rospotrebnadzor chief and Russia's chief sanitary officer Anna Popova told Interfax on Friday.
"We have identified violations which put the product quality and safety of the entire McDonald's chain in doubt," Popova said.
Following an inspection carried out in Veliky Novgorod, eleven administrative-violation protocols were compiled about two McDonalds alone, she said. "These products complied neither with the safety standards, nor energy values. They were extremely remote from the current standards," Popova said.
