Nearly 5,750 people leave Lugansk via humanitarian corridor - regional administration

Nearly 5,750 Lugansk civilians have left the city via a humanitarian corridor since it was opened, the Luhansk regional administration reported on Tuesday.

Nearly 5,750 Lugansk civilians have left the city via a humanitarian corridor since it was opened, the Lugansk regional administration reported on Tuesday.

As many as 2,160 Lugansk residents have used this corridor over the past four days alone, it said.

In particular, 697 of these people left for the community of Shchastya in 128 vehicles on August 8, 752 people in 132 vehicles on August 9, 360 people in 70 vehicles on August 10, and 351 people in 77 vehicles on August 11.

On August 11, acting Lugansk regional administration head Iryna Verihina issued a number of instructions during a session on providing displaced persons with drinking water (15 liters per person a day) and food products. In addition, the filtration center registering the displaced persons will be provided with refrigeration units.
