Russian President Vladimir Putin insisted on Thursday that the state provide copper-bottomed security guarantees for investments in Russia.

Russian President Vladimir Putin insisted on Thursday that the state provide copper-bottomed security guarantees for investments in Russia.

"We must create conditions in Russia that would always give investors - any investors, both foreign and Russian - a clear signal that one doesn't get cheated in Russia," Putin said at a meeting with members of various political groups in the Russian State Duma.

A company that has invested in Russia must be "sure that no one will take its investments away from it, that state policy guarantees the security of those investments," he said.
