Paramilitary groups operating in east Ukraine fired artillery at a Ukrainian border guard detachment's base near the village of Kolesnikivka, Luhansk region, the Ukrainian Border Guard Service said on Friday.
The shelling lasted for an hour starting from 11 p.m. August 14, none of the border guards were injured, the statement said.
Also, a group of armed men attacked a border guard squad, which was patrolling the border near the village of Shevchenko, Donetsk region, between 9.55 p.m. and 10.15 p.m. on Thursday, the statement said. The border guards were able to repel the attack, the Border Guard Service said.
