DNR claims first militia groups enter Mariupol

The advance groups of militias from the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic on Friday advanced deep into Mariupol, a source in the DNR defense ministry told Interfax on Friday.

The advance groups of militias from the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DNR) on Friday advanced deep into Mariupol, a source in the DNR defense ministry told Interfax on Friday. 

"The first subversive groups, including with armor, are already in Mariupol," the source said.

Neither DNR officials, nor the Ukrainian military were immediately available to comment on this information.
