Poland says Gazprom has cut gas supplies by a quarter

Polish oil and gas company PGNiG said there had been a sharp reduction in Russian gas supplies via Ukraine and Belarus.

Polish oil and gas company PGNiG said there had been a sharp reduction in Russian gas supplies via Ukraine and Belarus.

It said gas supplies were 20 percent short of the nomination on September 8 and 24 percent below on September 9.

PGNiG does not yet know whether the reduction is of a technical or commercial nature.

The company offset the shortfall with other sources of gas.
