Dollar, euro edge up against ruble

The dollar and euro are edging up against the ruble in early trading on the Moscow Interbank Currency Exchange (MICEX) on Thursday.

The dollar traded at 37.3475 rubles/$1 after the first minute or so, which is about 5.75 kopecks higher that yesterday's closing level and 18 kopecks higher than the official rate.

The euro traded at 48.2395 rubles/EUR1, 10.4 kopecks above yesterday's closing and 17.6 above the official rate.

The bi-currency basket ($0.55 and EUR0.45) started the day at 42.25 rubles, 7.8 kopecks higher than yesterday's closing value.
