Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has agreed to consider the idea of replacing criminal prosecution for economic crimes with high fines.
"This idea should probably be studied. I once backed the idea of a high fine for officials. We could probably consider introducing it for businessmen, too," Medvedev said at a meeting on the protection of businessmen's rights held at the Sochi investment forum.
