The Ukrainian government has approved and submitted proposals on personal economic and other restrictive measures against 209 legal entities and over 1,000 individuals supportive of Russian aggression against Ukraine for the consideration of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC).
This was done with regard to the Law on Sanctions approved by the Verkhovna Rada on August 12 at the government's initiative.
The Ukrainian government approved proposals on personal anti-Russian sanctions on September 11.
It has been proposed freezing the assets of legal entities and taking some other measures. In all, the proposals consist of eight provisions. The government proposed that the NSDC ban visits to Ukraine by Russians and citizens of other countries who supported the Russian actions against Ukraine.
The government also proposed a ban on the withdrawal of capital from Ukraine by state-owned legal entities - Russian residents and legal entities in whose authorized capital the Russian government has a share.
The government proposed halting the issue of permits and licenses for importation of Ukrainian national currency banknotes from Russia.
It is also proposed to ban public procurement of goods and services from state-owned legal entities - Russian residents, legal entities in whose authorized capital the Russian government has a share, and other economic entities selling goods and services of Russian origin with the exception of cases in which such items cannot be substituted and this impossibility is confirmed by the Economic Development Ministry.
The list of government initiatives includes a ban on privatization projects and new agreements on the lease of Ukrainian state assets by Russian residents and entities directly or indirectly controlled by Russian residents or operating in their interests, as well as additional measures in the field of environmental, sanitary, phytosanitary and veterinarian control of foods, light industry products, cosmetic items and household chemicals made in Russia.
The Ukrainian government proposed a NSDC ban on the transfer of technology and intellectual property rights to Russian residents and entities directly or indirectly controlled by Russian residents or operating in their interests.
