U.S. provides $25 million to Ukraine for military personnel training, supply of nonlethal commodities

According to a memorandum posted on the White House website on Thursday, U.S. President Barack Obama has provided Ukraine with $25 million for military personnel training and assistance to Ukraine's government and ministries.

According to a memorandum posted on the White House website on Thursday, U.S. President Barack Obama has provided Ukraine with $25 million for military personnel training and assistance to Ukraine's government and ministries.

According to the document, $5 million of this money will be used to provide "immediate assistance for the Government of Ukraine, to aid their efforts to respond to the current crisis" and the remaining $20 million will be assistance in "nonlethal commodities and services."
