Venezuela will work with the OPEC countries to prevent the oil prices from falling and it has already prepared appropriate proposals, Venezuelan Foreign Minister Rafael Ramirez said.

"We will actively work with the OPEC countries to prevent oil prices from decreasing. We have prepared our proposal," Ramirez told a press conference following negotiations with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov.

Ramirez reiterated that "we have our own interests, the interests of oil extracting countries, which we need to defend."

Ramirez also pointed out the active cooperation with Russia in the oil industry, calling cooperation with Rosneft wonderful. "Rosneft is a company that is actively represented on our oil market," the minister said, recalling that Rosneft has the right to extract a considerable amount of oil in the Orinoco deposit.
