German Chancellor Angela Merkel said the negotiations at the ASEM summit in Milan, Italy, have not helped make headway on the situation in Ukraine, Steffen Seibert, press officer for the German government, said.

"Merkel on Ukraine: currently no breakthrough, progress on the details. Central point: will the territorial integrity of Ukraine be observed?" Seibert said on Twitter on Friday.
