Over 527,000 voters have taken part in the elections of the head and parliament of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DNR), chairman of the DNR central elections commission (CEC) Roman Lyagin has told the press.
"As at 3 p.m. the turnout was 527,642 voters," he said.
He added that the elections have been free of major incidents. "There have been no incidents that could affect the course of voting since the opening of polling stations," he said.
There are no plans of extending the voting time.
"We don't plan to prolong the time of voting, though CEC has the powers of changing the voting time," he said.
