Roskomnadzor ready for dialogue on CNN distribution in Russia

The Federal Service for Supervision in the Sphere of Telecom, Information Technologies and Mass Communications (Roskomnadzor) is ready to discuss the shutdown of CNN distribution in Russia with the channel, Roskomnadzor head Alexander Zharov told Interfax on Wednesday.

"They [CNN] have made an independent decision, no one has contacted us but we are open to further dialogue," Zharov said.

"There are no legislative acts in Russia to prevent CNN from obtaining a universal license," he underscored.
