Russian President Vladimir Putin is convinced that extremism poses a threat to national security and has called for everything to be done to prevent "color revolutions" in Russia.
"Extremism is a threat to national security and can radically unbalance the political, economic and social systems. Nationalism, religious intolerance, political extremisms are forms of extremism that are most dangerous for society and the state," Putin told the Russian Security council on Thursday at a meeting that focused on the government's anti-extremism concept.
