Over 36,500 Ukrainian refugees are currently staying at temporary settlements in Russia, Alexander Drobyshevsky, a Russian Emergency Situations Ministry spokesman, told Interfax on Saturday.
"A total of 789 temporary settlements are operating in Russian regions now, in which over 36,500 displaced persons from Ukraine, including over 11,400 children, are staying," Drobyshevsky said.
The refugees are provided with everything necessary, he said.
The number of temporary settlements for refugees in Russian regions has declined by nearly 30 and the number of refugees staying there by nearly 3,000 people over the past week.
