Two Omsk cash collectors suffocate to death in cash delivery vehicle

An abandoned cash delivery vehicle with two dead cash collectors was discovered outside the town of Znamenskoye in the Omsk region on Sunday, the region's top investigative agency reported.

An abandoned cash delivery vehicle with two dead cash collectors was discovered outside the town of Znamenskoye in the Omsk region on Sunday, the region's top investigative agency reported.

The vehicle with a running engine was blocked from inside. It had remained in a parking area near a gas filling station all night long, it said.

"The men, born in 1971 and 1986, had reportedly suffered carbon monoxide poisoning. An examination of the bodies did not reveal any bodily injuries. Forensic experts will work to establish the cause of he deaths. The incident is under investigation," it also said.

The regional police department said that the cash and valuables found in the cash delivery vehicle were handed over to the manager of the security firm where both men were employed.
