According to a poll conducted at the request of a German television channel ARD program, almost 40 percent residents of Germany agree would agree to recognition of Crimea as part of Russia.
The poll, which was conducted by the sociological institute Infratest Dimap, shows that 39% of residents of Germany favor the recognition of Crimea as part of Russia. Forty-eight percent of Germans are against recognizing the peninsula as part of Russia, Deutsche Welle radio reported on Monday.
Forty-three percent of respondents do not believe Russian foreign policies pose any imminent danger, while 54% of the respondents believe they pose a danger to Germany.
The poll was conducted on November 19-20. It encompassed 1,000 residents of Germany aged over 14.
