New dates for Proton-M LVs launches from Baikonur chosen

The leadership of the Baikonur cosmodrome suggest conducting the next launches of Proton-M launch vehicles with Yamal-401 and Astra-2G telecommunication satellites on December 16 and 28 respectively, Interfax-AVN was told at the space agency on Wednesday.

"Experts have adjusted the plans of the closest launches of Proton-M given the cancellation of the takeoff of the European Astra-2G satellite scheduled for November 28. Considering the capabilities of technical teams at the Proton launch pads it is suggested launching the Russian Yamal-401 satellite on December 16, and Astra-2G on December 28," the source said.
