Moscow condemns the terrorist act in Afghanistan and expresses condolences to relatives of the victims, the Russian Foreign Ministry said on Tuesday.
“The terrorist act was committed on the day when the Afghan parliament approved the signing of the Security Agreement between the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and the US and on the status of NATO forces after 2014. It is discordant with the optimistic assessments of representatives of the International Security Assistance Force in Afghanistan and the situation in the field of security in the country,” the ministry said.
On November 23, a suicide bomber blew himself up at a volleyball tournament in eastern Afghanistan, killing over 60 people and injuring several dozens of people in the country's deadliest terrorist attack this year.
