"The rating of President Putin remains at peak figures since May," Head of the All-Russia Center for Studies of Public Opinion (VTSIOM) Valery Fedorov said at a seminar for senior officials of regional executive bodies of power on Tuesday.
"The ratings of the president and all the key institutions, which are associated in the minds of the respondents with President Putin's political course, have immensely grown in comparison with last year," Fedorov said.
The ratings abruptly went up in a period between February and May 2014, he said. The ratings reached a maximum high level in May, which was believed to be a peak then, but since May the ratings have remained on the same peak level," Fedorov said, citing VTSIOM data which said that early in May the rating of the Russian president reached a point of 85.9%.
The latest VTSIOM poll conducted on November 22-23 showed that 87.5% of respondents polled approve the activity of President Putin.
