China, Germany, U.S. top Russia's inbound tourism statistics in 2014

China, Germany and the United States top the list of countries by the number of tourists who visited Russia in the first nine months of this year, the Federal Tourism Agency said, referring to the Federal State Statistic Service.

A total of 358,000 tourists from China, 318,600 from Germany, 150,600 from the United States, 120,900 from the United Kingdom, over 100,000 from Turkey and 92,600 from Italy visited Russia in that period, says a report posted on the agency website.

The Federal State Statistic Service said that the leaders in terms of arrivals of their citizens in Russia in the first nine months of the year were Ukraine (7.4 million), Kazakhstan (over 3 million), Uzbekistan (1.9 million), Poland (1.4 million) and Finland (over one million).
