"At the initiative of Ukrainian President Petro Oleksiyovych Poroshenko, a ceasefire regime has been put into place at every position of ATO forces," the army operation press center wrote on its official Facebook page on Tuesday.

A "day of silence" is due to start in Donbas on Tuesday, December 9. Both warring sides said they were ready to observe the truce.
