Over 240 militants killed, 644 more detained in Russia in 2014 — antiterrorism committee

The spokesman said that a total of 74 counter-terrorism operations were held in 2014 in Russia’s North Caucasus region.

“This year we have managed for the first time to prevent escalation of terrorism activities in the summer time,” Przhezdomsky added.
