Ukraine will need new partial mobilization of armed forces reservists in 2015 to sustain its military operation in the east of the country, President Petro Poroshenko argued on Saturday.
Such mobilization should be carried out in phases and efforts must be made to avoid mistakes made during previous mobilizations, Poroshenko said during a meeting of the National Security and Defense Council.
Earlier, council secretary Alexander Turchynov had said there would be several waves of mobilization via which rotation would be carried through in the army and a combat reserve of a minimum of 100,000 troops would be formed.
