The Russian Air Force will continue to procure and master the use of brand new weapons in 2015, Defense Ministry spokesman for the Air Force Col. Igor Klimov told Interfax-AVN.
"Consistent with the 2015 state defense order, the troops will be supplied with over 150 helicopters and planes," Klimov said.
The delivery of Sukhoi Su-30SM, Su-30M2 and Mikoyan MiG-29SMT fighters, Sukhoi Su-34 frontline bombers, Sukhoi Su-35S multirole planes, Yakovlev Yak-130 combat trainers and Antonov An-148 and Ilyushin Il-76-MD90 transport planes will continue, he said. The army aviation will be supplied with Kamov Ka-52 Alligator, Mil Mi-28N Night Hunter, Mil Mi-8AMTSh (MTV-5-1), Mil Mi-8MTPR, Mil Mi-35M, Mil Mi-26, Kamov Ka-226 and Ansat-U helicopters.
