Indian Defence Minister invited to International Security Conference in Moscow

Sergey Shoigu invited his Indian counterpart Manohar Parrikar to take part in the International Security Conference in Moscow.

Sergey Shoigu invited his Indian counterpart Manohar Parrikar to take part in the International Security Conference in Moscow.

“I invited my colleague to visit Russia this year and speak at the 4th International Security Conference in Moscow,” Shoigu said after talks with his Indian counterpart.

Ahead of his first official visit to Tehran Shoigu has extended the similar invitation to Iranian Defence Minister Hossein Dehghan.

Indian servicemen are invited to take part in the Military World Games in August, the regular Tank Biathlon Championship and the “Air Darts” competitions, Shoigu said.

India’s participation in last year’s Tank Biathlon and the Air Darts competitions as observers “became a land mark event”. “The events became an excellent platform for exchanging experience between our military specialists,” he said.

“It is necessary to thoroughly plan the exercises. Their results should bring practical benefit for increasing the combat readiness of our Armed Forces,” Shoigu said.
