Foreign applicants for Russian visa are compelled to present an itinerary of their trips starting on January 26, the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR) said.

It said the rule was imposed by the new questionnaire for foreign citizens endorsed by the Federal Migration Service irrespective of the visa category, type and validity period.

The itinerary must include every populated locality a foreigner plans to visit in Russia. Besides, the Federal Migration Service compels the provision of information about the migration registration address and the inviting and receiving parties.

In the opinion of the ATOR, the new visa rules may harm inbound tourism in Russia.
