Two more Soviet-era monuments have been ruined in the Odessa region.
A Lenin statue was removed from a pedestal in the village of Nerubaiskoye just outside Odessa in the early hours of January 25, as result of which it broke into pieces, a spokesperson for the Odessa regional office of the Freedom Party said. At about the same time, a bust to Felix Dzerzhinsky was torn down in the town of Ovidiopol.
It was reported that more than ten various monuments, which were erected during the Soviet period, have been destroyed in the Odessa region in the past few months. Recently such incidents have been reported by the Freedom Party.
