Lavrov thanks China, India for understanding Moscow's stance on Ukraine crisis

Moscow is grateful to Indian and Chinese partners for their understanding of the Russian stance on Ukraine, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.

Moscow is grateful to Indian and Chinese partners for their understanding of the Russian stance on Ukraine, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.

"We have expressed our gratitude to the Indian and Chinese partners for their understanding of the Russian position regarding the need to resolve the domestic crisis in Ukraine; the final communique emphasizes the need for the urgent resumption of peace talks between the Ukrainian sides and the launch of an inclusive dialogue aimed to prevent further escalation of tensions," Lavrov said at a press conference on Monday, at the end of his meeting with the Indian and Chinese foreign ministers.
