The US Disney corporation is considering the possible write-off for its $300 million investments into the Russian Seven TV channel because of the law limiting foreign holdings in the Russian mass media to 20%, the company said in its statement.
The company is evaluating its opportunities in line with these legislative changes and can write off either a portion or a total of $300 million investments into the Russian Seven TV channel, it added.
Disney acquired a 49% equity stake in the Seven TV channel for $300 million in 2011.
