Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and the United States Secretary of State John Kerry have said there is no alternative to the political resolution of the Ukrainian crisis.
"In considering the problem of the Ukrainian crisis, Lavrov and Kerry noted the absence of an alternative to the political way of resolving it. The U.S. state secretary expressed support for the talks held between Russian President V. Putin, German Chancellor A. Merkel and French President F. Hollande in Moscow a day earlier," the Russian Foreign Ministry said its Facebook page after a meeting between Lavrov and Kerry in Munich.
"Russia and the U.S. believe that the launch of an inclusive, national dialogue on constitutional reform is an essential condition of achieving lasting and fair peace and Ukraine," the ministry said.
Lavrov and Kerry met on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference on Saturday.
