President Vladimir Putin has discussed the importance of the observance of the Minsk accords on the ceasefire in Ukraine on the phone with German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Francois Hollande.
"The leaders stressed the importance of meticulous observance by the conflicting sides of all provisions of the set of measures adopted by the contract group in Minsk on February 12 aimed at the peaceful settlement of the situation in Southeastern Ukraine," the Kremlin press service reports.
"They confirmed the understanding reached in Minsk on a top-level telephone contact in the framework of 'the Normandy format' in the very nearest future," the press service noted.
