Budapest is interested in the implementation of a project of gas transportation from Russia across Turkey to Greece, Macedonia, Serbia and Hungary, says Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban.
"It would be a good investment for Hungary if it makes sure that Turkish gas goes through Greece, Macedonia, and Serbia to Hungary," Orban said following negotiations with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Budapest on Tuesday.
Orban said Putin had assured him that the project would be followed through.
"I trust the agreements that I have concluded with the Russian president," Orban said.
