Russia signs new contract to deliver titanium components to Boeing

Russia has signed a new contract to export titanium components to Boeing, Rostec Corporation's general director, Sergei Chemezov, told the media on Monday.

"A long-term contract has been signed to export titanium components to Boeing," he said.

Chemezov also said that a second facility for processing titanium components is to be launched and production volumes are to be increased.

The European concern Airbus imports 60% of titanium components it needs from Russia and Boeing over 40%, Chemezov said.

"All of Boeing's civil aircarft are made of Russian titanium," he said.
