On February 19 the representatives of Kursk region held the presentation of the region's socio-economic potential at the Embassy of India in Moscow.

Large-scale enterprises of the region including Vagonmash, Korenevsky plant of low-voltage equipment, concern Kursktrikotazhprom and NPO Compozit presented their capabilities, - portal Vkurske reported.

Over twenty Indian companies participated in the event as well, among them such well-known as Indo Commercial Bank, JSC Coral-Med - the first pharmaceutical outsourcing company in Russia, represented in 25 largest cities of Russia, Tata Motors Limited - the largest automobile company in India, Reddy's Laboratories Ltd. - international pharmaceutical company, Tata Global Beverages - global manufacturer of tea, and others.

At the end of the presentation Kursk Chamber of Commerce and the non-profit partnership «Indian Business Alliance» signed the letter of intent, and the plans for the near future collaboration between economic entities of both parties were outlined.

Within the framework of the presentation the Governor of Kursk region Alexandr Mikhailov met with the Indian Ambassador to Russia P.S. Raghavan. According to Mikhailov, Kursk region is open to all forms of cooperation, including joint production of goods and the establishment of high-tech industries.
