Russia will do its best for India to become a full-fledged member of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), the speaker of the lower house of the Russian parliament, the State Duma, Sergey Naryshkin said on Friday, while on an official visit to New Delhi.
"Russia will take all necessary steps to comply with India’s application for full membership during the organization’s summit in Bashkortostan in July", the lawmaker said.
He reminded that India currently holds an observer status in SCO.
