Navalny appeal against decision to keep him under arrest on Nemtsov funeral day to be heard March 4

The Moscow City Court on March 4 will hear opposition campaigner Alexei Navalny's appeal against the court's decision not to suspend his administrative arrest for attending Boris Nemtsov's funeral.

"The appeal is to be heard on March 4," Moscow City Court spokesperson Ulyana Solopova told Interfax on Monday.

Moscow's Presnensky court on Monday turned down Navalny's request for suspending his administrative arrest.

Nemtsov was shot and killed in central Moscow late on February 27. A remembrance ceremony will be held for the opposition politician at the Sakharov Center on Tuesday, March 3. Nemtsov will be buried at the Troyekurovskoye cemetery on the same day.
