"I have filed a request with the Presnensky Court," Lawyer Ivan Zhdanov told Interfax.
Zhdanov said the date when the request will be considered has not been determined yet. "Justice Zubova, who sentenced Navalny to administrative arrest, is currently not available and a decision is currently being made on what judge will consider the request," Zhdanov said.
Zhdanov reiterated that the request should be considered immediately.
The Moscow City Court earlier said the legislation allows for the suspension of administrative arrest due to emergency situations.
"The law allows that and the decision will be made by the court that made a decision on the administrative arrest," Moscow City Court press officer Ulyana Solopova told Interfax.
Navalny is currently serving 15 days of administrative arrest for a breach of the law concerning rallies.
Boris Nemtsov will be buried in the Troyekurovskoye Cemetery on Tuesday.
The killing of prominent Russian opposition politician Boris Nemtsov in central Moscow late on Friday shocked policymakers and other public figures both in Russia and abroad. His associates tend to believe that the murder was politically motivated. They are determined to hold a mourning procession in central Moscow on Sunday instead of an earlier planned protest march in the Moscow neighborhood of Maryino far from the city center.
