The co-chairman of the RPR-PARNAS opposition party, Boris Nemtsov has been laid to rest at the Troyekurovskoye Cemetery in Moscow.
Before the interment an Orthodox priest sung a graveside prayer for the diseased, an Interfax correspondent said.
Nemtsov's friends and relatives came to bid last farewell. The funeral was attended by at least 600 people, around one-third of them reporters. The opposition politician Mikhail Kasyanov and economist Andrei Nechaev were also at the cemetery.
Nemtsov was shot dead on the Bolshoy Moskvoretsky Bridge in central Moscow shortly before midnight on February 27.
