Chinese business center to open in St. Petersburg in July

A Chinese business center will open in St. Petersburg in July 2015, Sergei Voronkov, general director of Expoforum International, told reporters in St. Petersburg on Friday.

A Chinese business center will open in St. Petersburg in July 2015, Sergei Voronkov, general director of Expoforum International, told reporters in St. Petersburg on Friday.

The center will open in the sixth Lenexpo pavilion soon after the St. Petersburg Economic Forum, which will be held on June 18-20, 2015, he said.

The center is expected to be used for holding business events involving representatives of Russian and Chinese administrative bodies and commercial structures, for demonstrating products of Chinese and Russian manufacturers and suppliers, and for organizing exhibits of Chinese provinces and Russian regions.

Some of the space of the center is expected to be leased out.

The business center is also expected to be used for holding conferences, seminars and roundtable meetings.

The organizer of the project is Expoforum International. Among its strategic partners are the Chinese Society of St. Petersburg and St. Petersburg State University of Economics.
