Two pistols have been found on the floor of the Moscow River near the Big Zamoskvoretsky Bridge, where politician Boris Nemtsov was killed, a source familiar with the investigation told Interfax.
The source said one of the pistols is definitely not the crime weapon and the ballistic test results performed on the second pistol are ready yet.
"Divers combed the floor of the Moscow River near the Big Zamoskvoretsky Bridge daily," the source said.
Boris Nemtsov, co-chairman of the opposition party RPR PARNAS, was killed in the late hours of February 27 on the Big Moskvoretsky Bridge not far from Red Square.
According to earlier reports, the investigators have two accused (Zaur Dadayev and Anzor Gubashev) and three suspects (Khamzat Bakhayev, Tamerlan Eskerkhanov and Shadid Gubashev) in custody. Zaur Dadayev and Anzor Gubashev have been charged with organized murder and illegal weapons storage.
