Lufthansa’s A-340 makes unscheduled landing in Yekaterinburg

An Airbus-340 of the Lufthansa airlines, en route from Beijing to Munich, has made an unscheduled landing at Yekaterinburg’s Koltsovo airport, the air hub’s strategic communications director Dmitry Tyukhtin has told TASS.

The plane touched the runway at 15:47 local time (11:47 GMT).

According to the crew one of the passengers developed health problems, presumably a heart attack.

"The airport’s medics on duty are currently on board," Tyukhtin said.
