Dagestan establishing economic cooperation with India

On March 31 in the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation in Moscow the officials of the Republic of Dagestan and the management of the Indian business alliance signed an agreement on economic cooperation, as informed by the press service of the Permanent Mission of Dagestan to the President of the Russian Federation.

According to the president of the Chamber of Commerce of Dagestan Badrutdin Magomedov the interest of the Indian businessmen to Dagestan is growing steadily and the Republic can beсome a promising investment platform for them.

In turn the president of the Indian business alliance Manoj Kotwani noted that India has to offer Dagestan opportunities for cooperation in various areas - from pharmaceutics to agriculture.

The parties agreed to exchange official visits. According to Gerey Aliyev, Deputy Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment of Dagestan, Indian business circles are planning to visit the country with ready proposals for joint projects.
