245 citizens of 12 countries evacuated from Yemen - Russian Foreign Ministry

In line with a decision of the Russian leadership the evacuation of Russians, citizens of CIS countries and several other nations from Yemen continued on Saturday.

"The evacuees included 67 citizens of the Russian Federation and 245 citizens of Belarus, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Armenia, Tajikistan, Moldova, Kyrgyzstan as well as Cuba, Egypt, Syria and Yemen," the Russian Foreign Ministry reported on Sunday.

"This stage of our humanitarian mission was carried out in due coordination with representatives of the relevant authorities of Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Yemen which guaranteed its successful completion in complex conditions," the ministry said.

It stressed that Russia will continue taking necessary measures to guarantee the security of Russians remaining in Yemen, including their evacuation from that country.
